Job Description

Ostoform Limited is an exciting Irish start-up company, developing Class I medical products to improve the lives of ostomy pouch users. The company’s first product range has just been launched in the US and Europe, and a Part-Time Accountant is now being added to the team to support future growth plans. 


In this new and exciting role, you will contribute to the growth of the business by controlling and implementing financial aspects of the business, including payroll, monthly management accounts, annual accounts, end-of-year audits, financial forecasts and business plan development, invoicing, and inventory planning.


You will be involved in business plan development and development of pricing strategies, as we internationalise our business, and you will work directly with the CEO in providing monthly financial reports to existing company shareholders and investors.


You will work directly with the COO, assisting in managing grant-funded and cost-reduction projects, contributing to building the company’s pipeline and increasing the company’s profitability.


You will have direct access to all team members and will see a direct benefit to your work both in building company value, and most importantly, in improving the lives of ostomy pouch users. 


Salary is dependent on experience. 


This ideal candidate will have the following attributes:


  • Fully qualified accountant with recognized accountancy qualification
  • Minimum of 5 years post qualification work experience in a similar role
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills & a working knowledge of Quickbooks
  • Excellent capabilities in the use of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • An ability to work well under pressure, prioritise, and work to tight deadlines
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills, and an ability to communicate at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a challenging environment
  • Ability to identify problems & offer solutions to complex issues
  • Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail
