Job Description

Nationwide Data Collection is the largest independent data collection agency within Ireland and as part of their ongoing expansion is looking to recruit a Site Technician for their Ireland operation. The person will based in our Athlone Regional Office, undertaking surveys across the Island of Ireland. Assistance to other UK regions may also be occasionally required.

 Key Responsibilities:

Install, maintain and remove traffic data collection equipment (video camera systems and automatic traffic counters).

  • Ensuring surveys are undertaken to client specification.
  • Preparing site paperwork prior to the supervision of casual staff, including basic training and checks to ensure all survey elements are completed successfully.
  • Ensure that all activities are undertaken in line with current company policies and health and safety guidelines.
  • Expected to work flexible hours with daytime/evening work as standard and be available for night work and weekend work should this be required.

 Education, Experience and Training 

  • Full clean driving license (minimum age 21 due to Insurance) as company vehicle provided.
  • IT literate with experience in the use of standard PC software (e.g. MS Office).
  • Statutory and in-house training will be provided.

 Skills and Competencies 

  • Physically Fit and confidence to handle power tools and install equipment on site.
  • Have an understanding of the Health & Safety considerations and risks involved in associated with working on a live highway.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as ability to work on own initiative.
  • Competent IT skills.
  • Be organised, conscientious and flexible with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.

 A competitive salary will be paid dependant on experience.

 Position is subject to a 3 month probationary period.
