Serchek has been providing Industrial door services to Corporate level customers in Ireland for close to 20 years.
Our work includes installation, maintenance and repairs of industrial doors and automated gates, high speed doors and loading bay equipment.
In that time many bright engineers have come to work for us and developed a foundation for their engineering careers, built on solid engineering training, guidance and experience with Serchek.

Graduate Customer Engineer – Mullingar
We are now seeking applications from Graduates of mechanical, electrical and industrial programmes. This position is a GradStart opportunity therefore you will need to have graduated in the past 4 years.
This position is primarily based at our office in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath. You will work closely with and in support of our Project Engineer, keeping track of projects using our in-house ERP system, liaising with customers and suppliers and specifying door solutions.
- On-the-job training with Senior Engineers
- Specialised learning from online sources such as suppliers
- Cross-training from Mechanical, to Electrical, to Automation
However on occasion you will have the opportunity to work in a client-facing capacity at their premises and sites.
Competency Requirements
- High level Mechanical aptitude – examples from previous work
- Excellent digital skills eg. Microsoft, ERP, AutoCad or SolidWorks
- Medium level Electrical aptitude – examples from previous work
- High level Administration and Organisation
- High level of Commercial Motivation
- High levels of motivation, drive and ambition
Full driving licence is an advantage, but not essential.

Serchek carries out installations, servicing and break-down repairs on Industrial and commercial equipment such as Sectional overhead doors, Dock levelers, retractable dock shelters, Automatic sliding doors, Automatic gates and Traffic Barriers.
We also provide highly rated independent consultancy and advice to our customers who greatly value our no nonsense cost effective approach.
In recent years the company has been working to a program of modernisation and process management improvement such as lean. Arising from this, there are now vastly improved employment prospects and opportunities as we build out our engineering team. We also plan to implement quality standards such as ISO. 18001 in the medium term.
Serchek engineers, specifies, modifies and customises door solutions to meet the specific requirements of our customers. We have established a reputation in the Irish market as one of the main “go-to” providers of industrial doors, based on our technical knowledge of door solutions, our relationships with our manufacturers and our emphasis on providing the best, not necessarily the most expensive, door products available.
