An exciting opportunity to join a small company at a growth phase. Due to continued expansion, TSI Flowmeters are currently recruiting for a production manager to join our team.
Based in Portlaoise, TSI Flowmeters are the market leaders in providing portable water flow measurement solutions to Water Utilities and Fire and Rescue Services. With the climate crisis looming, management of water resources has never been more crucial.
Our innovative water flow measurement technology provides constant, accurate information over a wide range of flow rates in demanding outdoor environments. This newly created position will appeal to a person interested in diverse mechanical, electronics and data management challenges

Position: Production manager

Reporting to: Managing Director

The successful candidate will have responsibility for all aspects relating to production to include assembly, stock management, quality control, servicing and customer service at TSI Flowmeters Ltd. The main responsibilities of the role are to
• Manage a team of in-house staff who will report directly to you and a team of sub-contractors and suppliers ensuring a well-motivated and well-informed team. • Ensure that production is planned and operated effectively to meet key performance indicators for timeliness of delivery, quality and costs. • Managing product assembly, product servicing and calibration of TSI flow meters.
• Stock management.
• Oversee quality control of sub-assemblies produced by sub-contractors.
• Assist in the development of production processes and ongoing improvements.
• Ensure the efficient transfer of prototype and pilot products to full production status and support these product lines on an on-going basis.
• Assist in the review and improvement of work instructions.
• Ensure that Change Requests are processed and approved in a timely manner.
• Assist in developing component and product drawings required by change requests.
• Manage the investigation and resolution of Non Conformances and the completion of NC assessments and investigations.
• Ensure that all work is carried out according to Company procedures, and that a high level of productivity and quality is achieved and maintained.
• Ensure that TSI’s Code of Conduct is considered in all business matters carried out on TSI’s behalf.

• Formal Production/Engineering/electronics qualification preferably and/or relevant manufacturing experience.
• Familiar with CAD software SolidWorks or similar programs would be an advantage
• Knowledge of ISO9001 quality standards/practises essential
• Good computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft® Office.
