Graduate/Trainee PHP Developer

This position is suitable for a recent graduate or a candidate with a real passion for software development and cloud/SaaS architectures.

This position is full time and based at our Athlone Offices.

Role Requirements

• Must be eligabile to work in Ireland currently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Genuine interest in web development with sample work/portfolio.
• Willingness to learn.
• Familiarity with Linux Operating Systems and Git.

The Role

As this is a graduate/trainee position you will first be given some smaller projects to work on, which have been specifically chosen for trainees to get familiar with the development stack and toolchains at Avova.

After the successful candidate becomes more familiar with our internal development process, tools and frameworks they will be moved on to work on both internal and client projects utilising the following technologies:-

·        PHP, JavaScript, Bash.

·        HTML5, CSS3, Vue3.

·        Git.

·        Linux.

·        MySQL/MariaDB and Galera clustering.

·        Redis.

·        S3 and S3 Compatible Storage.

·        Internal Frameworks and external such as Laravel or Symfony.

·        DevOps and CI/CD.

The position is full time and offers exposure to a wide variety of technologies, interesting projects and career progression within the company.
