This position is suitable for an experienced Level 2 / Field Engineer and offers the successful candidate exposure to a wide variety of technologies, interesting projects, and career progression within the company.

This position is full time and based at our Athlone Offices.

 

Role Requirements

  • Must be eligabile to work in Ireland currently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to Learn
  • Full Clean Driver’s License
  • 3+ Year experience in a similar role
  • Experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, Active Directory, & Office 365
  • Experience with Networking (Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, QoS, VPNs)
  • Excellent troubling shooting skills
  • Linux and Mac OS experience an advantage
  • Familiarity with Email (SMTP, IMAP, Exchange), Domains and DNS, Basic Web Hosting Knowledge.
  • Experience working with a Ticketing/Service management system.
  • Experience working in a fast pace changing environments.
  • Genuine passion for IT/Technology is a must.

 

The Role

The successful candidate will join a busy, fast paced team supporting both internal and client systems and infrastructure. Typical responsibilities include: -

  • Provide support to customers via phone email and remote control.
  • Support Windows, Mac and Linux systems.
  • Monitoring & Administration of Active Directory, Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM), Backups, Encryption and Microsoft 365 and Avova SaaS/Cloud Applications.
  • Ensure all tickets and related documentation are kept up to date.
  • Managing Customer Expectations and keeping them up to date with ticket progress.
  • Design, Implementation, and support of Lan, Wan, Wi-Fi, VPN, Server and VoIP systems and infrastructure.
  • Support and administration of Avova Cloud Services and Cloud Platforms spread across 5+ EU datacentres.
  • Assist with internal and client projects from design to implementation and support.
