Commercial Manager

Ardale Recruitment have been retained by a leading construction group to recruit an experienced Commercial Manager join their senior management team in Carlow. You will ideally come from a mechanical / electrical or building services background although other construction related experience will most definitely be considered.

As the successful candidate you will be involved in the complete life cycle of projects from pricing and tendering to post contract delivery. 

• Assist in winning new projects/contracts by attending pre-bid meetings; identify scope, schedule, and budget; actively participate in preparation of proposals; lead client interviews and presentations as needed.
• Work closely with engineering (design and manufacturing), procurement and the commercial teams to establish project scope and targeted outcomes 
• Develop project execution plans including definition of scope, schedule, communication, delivery, and handover aspects of projects.
• Maintain project resource plans and schedules.
• Creating and managing budgets – both Operational & Project Specific
• Properly identify and assess project risks, reporting on the Operational & Project status on a weekly basis.
• Become a key client relationship manager, building on existing business relationships and establishing new ones 
• Engage and manage consultants and  Sub Contractors as required.

This is a senior role within this business unit and therefore requires a driven and highly professional individual with scope to enhance the role as the business expands.
