Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Manager

My client is a leading General Contractor and are urgently seeking to hire an experienced MEP Lead for a major construction project in Limerick. The ideal candidate will have 10+ yrs experience in leading Mechanical & Electrical Engineering professionals preferably within a Pharmaceutical construction environment.

Coming from a Mechanical Engineering background, you will be the main point of contact for the client for all Mechanical and Electrical Installations. You will maintain excellent working relationships with M&E Sub contractors and suppliers as well as the Civil/Structural members of the construction team. Duties will include:

Duties may include;

• Prepares and manages MEP construction schedule and daily planning of work
• Be intimately familiar with Subcontractor scope of work, Subcontract agreements, and design drawings,  for the ownership of construction execution on time and within budget
• Coordinates with Quality Control 
• Ensures Quality is upheld daily and punch lists are generated and completed in a timely manner
• Assists in preparation of all project status reports
• Ensure appropriate communication and information flow to relevant M&E contractors
• Track Sub Contractors progress against main programme
• Chair weekly meeting with trade contractors
• Monitor procurement schedules in line with programme, especially critical long lead items
• Ensure adherence to health & safety protocols
• Progress reports to Project Director and Building Services Manager
• Liaising with CSA team counterparts when necessary
• Site inspections of work carried out for Quality Control purposes and reporting any non-conformity issues

This is a long term strategic role for the region and will be rewarded as a senior role accordingly.
