What’s the job?
Mergon International currently has a vacancy for a Mould Setter within Mergon International Plant 2 Engineering Team. Would be suitable for anyone interested in developing a technical career.
The Role
The mould setter will carry out mould changes in accordance with the Production Plan ensuring minimum downtime and optimum efficiency.
Duties will include:
- Carryout mould changes as required
- Trouble-shoot any processing problems
- Carry out basic maintenance on mould tools and process equipment
- Complete process control documentation
- Carry out mould and material trials as required
- Contribute to on-going improvement programmes
Who we’re looking for?
- Leaving Certificate or equivalent, 3rd level NCEA Level 6 (Mechanical / plastics engineering) or equivalent preferable.
- Experience of injection and blow moulding, preferably but not essential as training will be provided.
- Demonstrating Technical ability will be a distinct advantage.
