Job Description
My client is a leading engineering and construction group with a wide range of ongoing projects both nationally and internationally. Projects are typically within the industrial, pharma, data centre and commercial sectors and can range from €5M-€80M in value.
They are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer for a project in Louth. The ideal candidate will have at least 4-5yrs in a similar site based project engineering role coupled with trade/technical degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering. However, strong applicants with less experience will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Support the Electrical PM
- Prepare and Submit Technical Submittals & RFI's
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, sub-contractors, specialist designers, manufacturers, etc. with respect to the specification, validation and value Engineering of products and equipment to be supplied to the project,
- Clarifying queries with the design team
- Engage in services co-ordination exercises and solve co-ordination issues
- Scheduling and tracking of the project with team of planners
Working with BIM 3D modelling - Co-ordinating the installation on site with the foremen and with other trades
- Supporting the construction team on site with information within the current regulations
- Reviewing drawings from the design package and raising issues were applicable
- QA of drawings and schedules
- Creating switching plans and boundaries for commissioning of equipment on site
- Using electrical software like, Dialux, Amtech, Pro Design.
- Also, other software Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Revit, BIM.
Candidate Profile
· Strong technical ability in all aspects of Electrical Engineering Services
· Proactive with a strong ability to work independently and without supervision
· Previous Trades experience desirable,
· Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
· Knowledge & experience of current IS, BS, EN and IEC Standards,
· Experience in Amtech, Dialux, AutoCAD and MS Office Suite Software,
