Linux System Administratior

We are a newly funded startup looking to provide web services for select customers accross the EU.  Much of the core software developent has been completed and we are looking to launch our alpha product soon.

We require a Part-Time Linux/AWS System Administrator to assist us to roll out our applications into a High Availablity and Scalable cloud infrastructure.

Required Experience

AWS Cloud Technologies

A good knowledge of Linux and related open source technologies.

HA/Scalable projects

Security SSL, Server Hardening, Subnets, LB etc.

Some knowlege of Tomcat, MySQL, Elasticache, JSON, XML

CI/CD setup and implementation

System Monitoring

Backups

Nice to have

Abiltiy to carry out some software development

DB SQL Skills

Performance Testing

People skills

Easy to work with

Dependable

Good Written/Spoken English

We envisage this being carried out in two phases, firstly the initial deployment phase and secondly a long-term contract for updates and maintenance. If the applicant is interested in software development or other applicable work the scope of the role can be greater, especially as we grow. We are interested in working with more than one person to provide additional support cover.
