Electrical Buyer

My client is a growing Electrical and building services contractor working directly with clients in the industrial, pharma and commercial sectors. They are currently recruiting for a Buyer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality with ambition to ultimately impact project performance through efficient and commercially favourable procurement. You will have at least 3yrs experience in a similar role with a good understanding or the supplier network in Ireland.

The role will include;

• Strategic Sourcing of all Materials to site
• Identify, lead and deliver cost reduction programs
• Building on relationships with current suppliers to ensure efficient service and value
• Identifying new suppliers to aid in competitive procurement
• Liaising with the commercial manager and various site project managers on a daily basis for lead in times and construction programmes
• Negotiating new / existing pricing agreements.
• Identify and lead areas for improvement within the procurement process.
• Involvement in tendering for projects advising on real and potential procurement savings.
