THE ROLE

As a Revit Designer, you will work closely with our high-profile client base to design fire protection sprinkler systems. You will produce Auto-CAD and Revit drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work and ensure that design standards are adhered to and that the drawings produced are of the highest quality, all in accordance with company Q.A. procedures. You will create Hydraulic Calculations using industry-approved software, plan project programs/scheduling, and prepare submittals. You will work closely with the Operations and Installation teams to communicate, problem-solve and update drawings for all coordination and design issues.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2years’ experience as a Design Engineer.
  • Minimum 2years’ Revit and BIM experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – Fluent in English (written and verbal).
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage challenging workload.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and can-do attitude to work.
  • Demonstrated skills in REVIT.
  • Proven record of building and sustaining effective and professional working relationships.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, and reliability skills.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, to project deadlines, whilst maintaining adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Full Driver’s license.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Dedicated and hardworking.
  • Organised and accurate.
  • Enjoys a busy environment.
  • Enjoys working with CAD packages.
  • Enjoys working on his/her own initiative.
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
  • Previous experience in 3D Design software is highly desirable.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design fire protection sprinkler systems for high-profile clients.
  • Produce REVIT drawings for Electrical and Mechanical installation work.
  • Ensure that standards are adhered to and that drawings produced are of the highest quality, all in accordance with Q.A. procedures.
  • Creating Hydraulic Calculations using industry-approved software.
  • Planning project programs/scheduling.
  • Preparing submittals.
  • Work closely with the Operations and Installation teams to communicate, problem solve and update drawings for all coordination and design issues.
