We would like to invite applications for Night Hatch Attendant to join the team in our Portlaoise Plaza.
The Plaza Group, which is part of the Supermac's group, operate a number of key locations, on busy road networks and motorways. It incorporates Supermac's, Papa Johns, Supersubs, Macs Place Deli, Retail Convenience Shop, together with customer seating, and all the usual motorway facilities for leisure, business and truck commuters, with ample parking and services.
PLEASE NOTE: Night Hatch Attendant - 11pm to 7am. This position requires full flexibility to work 2 nights over a 7-day roster. Training will commence immediately.
Job Purpose: To assist the Retail & Forecourt Manager in supervising the site and operations therein, during the nighttime period.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Ensure the hatch is manned at all times

When required the effective induction and training of any new nighttime employees.

To communicate operational matters to daytime staff, give proper handover if issues are outstanding.

Ensure high quality and consistent customer service is provided at all times.

To carry out any and all-nighttime duties regarding cleaning or servicing of equipment – coffee machines, etc. in keeping with procedure to ensure top quality products to our customers whilst conducting various stocking up duties during quiet periods, together with cleaning of tea/coffee machines and support duties during quieter times

Assist the retail and forecourt manager in the effective management of the retail store and forecourt, in particular communicating any customer requests at night, bringing forward any new ideas for improving the service we offer.

To ensure potential hazards in the store are identified and reduced or where possible removed/eliminated.

To assist the manager in minimising stock loss through wastage, damages and pilferage while ensuring food management and waste systems are adhered to.

Ensure store is merchandised in a customer friendly and competitive manner ensuring compliance with company procedures and guidelines.

Ensure stock is rotated appropriately to ensure in date stock is available.
The Shop will be closed to be public, however limited services will be offered by you via the night hatch.
