The Barack Obama Plaza is a service station where facilities include a Spar, Circle K car and HGV fuelling pumps, a Supermac’s Restaurant, Papa John’s Pizza, SuperSubs, Mac’s Place Deli & Bakery, indoor and outdoor seating, toilets and washroom facilities, free Wi-Fi, car, bus and HGV parking. The Barack Obama Plaza strives to provide first class facilities to our customers whilst making their stop as convenient as possible. This individual will need to be flexible with options for early starts, early finishes.
We would like to invite applications for Deli Chef to join the team.
The Job: To assist with the cooking and preparation of hot and cold foods in our busy Deli section.
The Deli Chef will be responsible for the effective management of the Carvery & Deli area, including preparation and cooking of top-quality food, including breakfasts, hot dinners, using great products, whilst maintaining a keen margin.
The Deli Cook will deal with the day-to-day operations, food quality, sourcing and ordering, scheduling, budgeting, and all aspects associated with successfully managing a great food operation. Responsibilities will include helping the Deli team and promoting a good work ethic.
Applicants will ideally be an experienced cook/chef, have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience at management level in the catering/hospitality sector, be able to work on a full-time basis and demonstrate the following:
