On behalf of our client in the Midlands, we are recruiting for a friendly and hardworking Customer Service & Sales Assistant to join our team at their depot in Tullamore. The successful candidate will have strong customer service skills, a flexible approach regarding duties and responsibilities and excellent attention to detail.
The specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Serving customers and dealing with queries in person and over the phone.
- Contacting existing, new & lapsed customers via outbound and inbound calls to process orders in an accurate, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Making follow-up calls to customers to confirm that they received the service they expected and to identify and opportunities for improvement.
- Delivery of a professional, efficient, and timely standard of customer service
- Ask questions to identify customer needs effectively and maximise sales opportunities.
- Develop relationships and build rapport with our customers and business partners to ensure customer satisfaction (account management style with your own defined set of customers).
- Build an excellent knowledge of our business and an understanding of products and industry trends.
- Take orders over the phone and input details into our system.
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 2 years of customer service industry or retail experience.
- Experience of working in a customer service environment (face to face and telephone) with apositive, friendly demeanour.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to handle challenging conversations.
Positive attitude and strong desire to meet customer's need.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to resolve issues and address complaints effectively.
- Confident and professional manner
