Stock Controller Incorporating Safety Representative Duties
A Stock Controller tracks stock levels and ensures that the supplies of raw materials & finished goods are sufficient to current stands, regulations, and the demand of customers. Your primary duties include checking stock levels, ordering additional stock and updating stock records. The Company Policy is to ensure that stock control is monitored accordingly to ensure maximum quality in a profitable manner in a safe environment.
Stock Controller responsibilities include but not limited to:
o Reporting to Business Development Manager & Production Manager
o Checking Stock levels regularly and communicating with Production Manager/Business Development Manager regularly to ensure adequate supply of all stock both raw materials & finished goods.
o Updating stock levels and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
o Liaising with other Team Leaders and Management daily to ensure efficient production of priority Stock requirement in line with order schedule.
o Report to management on issues with finished goods quality or supply.
o Identify issues in efficiency of stock control and suggest improvements & implement where necessary.
o Place orders as required by Production/Management for all Raw Materials required to complete finished product.
o Preparing and loading off any Courier collections in line with dispatch schedule.
Safety Representative Duties include but not limited to:
o Reporting to the Production Manger
o Carrying out safety risks assessments daily and directing Production Manager of any hazards.
o Liaising with Production Manager to ensure the Safety Management System is updated daily
o Preparing and filing reports for accidents and other safety breaches & Recording in Company ‘Serious Incident Log Book’.
o Ensuring all Safety equipment including PPE is used accordingly.
o Ensure all Fire equipment and Exits are inspected on a daily basis
o Maintain adequate stock of PPE, First Aid kits and tracking distribution of same.
o Dealing with Minor incidents onsite in line with First Aid safety training received, and alerting Emergency services in the event of serious incident.
Other Daily Tasks include but not Limited to:
o Updating stock accurately on Finished goods board daily and highlighting any discrepancies.
o Co-ordinate with Production Manager/Team Leaders on priority stock requirement for dispatch daily.
o Spot check finished goods, brand & label accordingly and report any quality issues to production manager.
o Order raw materials as required including raw aggregates, admixtures, cement, steel.
o Maintain, Store and organise deliveries as required.
o Distribute PPE Gear to production staff and record accordingly.
o Perform regular Safety Checks and record daily in line with Company safety Policy.
Qualifications:
A third level qualification is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.
