Project Lead Role

Robotics and Drives Irelands leading provider of bespoke robotic automation delivering Robotic solutions globally have an opportunity for an experienced Project Lead to join our growing team. The successful candidate will manage projects from initial concept through design, manufacture, and validation, including final Site Acceptance Test. You will lead a cross functional team to deliver technologically advanced and innovative projects for both domestic and international customers.

Qualifications

  • Primary Degree BSc / BEng
  • Project management qualification is an advantage.
  • 2+ years in a project engineering or project Lead role

Responsibilities

 

  • To develop, drive and achieve the project plan for a number of machines build projects.
  • Work with department leaders to develop project tasks, identify resource requirements, and set project targets and timelines.
  • Lead a cross-functional team (all departments) ensuring the phase owners are clearly identified to drive the efficient on-time achievement of set targets and milestones, within budget and subject to other key performance criteria as may be set by the Company from time to time.
  • Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Identify, manage, and support the resolution of risks and issues throughout the project, and to implement learnings as part of a continuous improvement process.
  • Day-to-day management of all project delivery matters.
  • Liaise and work effectively with internal departments ensuring that all inputs and requirements are considered.
  • Direct point of contact for customers, ensuring immediate response and reaction to items. Build long-term, sustainable relationships with our customers.
  • Constantly monitor and communicate project progress status and results to the customer as required, also communicating information from the customer to the relevant internal personnel in a timely manner.
  • Communicate on all project statuses/ project record maintenance including reporting on all project activity.
  • Reporting to management – project status, issues, risks, questions from customers, and general concerns.
  • Budget tracking – ensure project material and hours are within project budget. Identify items if they arise outside the scope of the original budget and take appropriate corrective action.
  • Forward planning in terms of resources; being able to identify gaps in a phase where upskilling can take place or where under resourcing may occur and advising management accordingly.

 

 

Key Skills & Experience

·       Experience working in a quality-controlled environment.

·       Experience working with Robotic/automation/equipment.

·        Basic understanding of PLC/pneumatic/electrical circuits

·        Proven track record in leading and managing technical projects.

  • Proactive and solutions focused with good organisational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent technical skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint & MS Project
