Pro-Activ HR have been retained by Irish Tours for You, an inbound Tour Operator to assist with their current recruitment needs.


Based in Tullamore, Co. Offaly, Irish Tours for you are an Inbound Tour Operator offering tours of Ireland to the primarily American market. Irish Tours for You have experienced rapid growth in recent years for their 5-star rated business and now require a GENERAL OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR who is able to support the General Operations Manager who oversees a Globally based workforce. This in turn, will help us to further grow and develop. This is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate and would suit an individual who enjoys a challenge, working in a busy atmosphere and being part of a close-knit team that supports each other in every way.


Duties will include the following:

Reservations Duties:

●      Pipeline Management:

Ensure the smooth flow of reservations through the pipeline. Identify potential blockages and actively support the team in resolving them.

●      Team Support:

Provide comprehensive support to the remote Reservations Team and Manager as needed.

●      Booking Optimization:

Address deficits in bookings and collaborate with the Reservations Team to reduce them.

●      Quality Assurance:

Establish and maintain a comprehensive quality assurance framework for meticulous checking of completed itineraries.

●      Supplier Partnership Optimization:

Optimize supplier partnerships to secure better booking terms and exclusive offerings.

●      Training and Collaboration:

Facilitate smooth collaboration within the team through cross-training initiatives.
Ensure the team is well-prepared for emergencies through regular drills and training.

●      Information Dissemination:

Keep the team informed about industry changes, market trends, and emerging technologies for continual process improvement.

●      Supervision: Checking Customer Service responses before sending to the client - ensuring that we are offering the best product and service possible

Customer Service Duties:

●      Customer Relationship Enhancement:

Implement strategies to enhance customer relationships, ensuring a positive experience from booking through post-trip follow-ups.

●      Dealing with complaints that arise. Protecting the Company Brand - successful candidate must possess the ability to build a case of information to support an argument put forward should a poor review for the Company be received.

●      Ability to call/email and correspond with an irate Customer Successful candidate should be able to successfully calm an irate client, address their concerns and lead the situation towards a positive outcome.

●      Monitoring of Customer Service Team to ensure that the highest standards of correspondence are being maintained and constantly improved upon.

 Sales Team Supervision:

●      Offering support to the Sales Team when owner is on leave

●      Management of targets

●      Keeping the Sales Team motivated and on track to hit and surpass targets

●      Assigning Lads to the Sales Team each morning


This is a permanent full-time position with a Competitive Salary and Benefits package offered reflective of experience

You must have previous management experience and be able to manage and motivate a team towards excellent performance.    Experience and knowledge in the Tourism sector is a distinct advantage. Candidate must be strong team player, be a self-motivated, have excellent communication skills, strong problem solving skills and pride yourself on attention to detail and follow through.
