Job Description

On behalf of our client based in the public health sector, we are now recruiting for occupational therapy assistants based in Navan, Co. Meath. These roles are part time and full time on a temporary basis and remuneration is reflected in the first point of the national salary scale for this position.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage own caseload according to post requirements.
  • Collaborate with service users, families, and staff on treatment plans.
  • Follow and assist in implementing treatment plans designed by an Occupational Therapist.
  • Organize and maintain Occupational Therapy programs as directed.
  • Facilitate individual and group interventions under Occupational Therapist supervision.
  • Prepare resources and environments for assessments and interventions.
  • Assist service users in personal, domestic, work, and community living skills training.
  • Provide opportunities for service users to engage in purposeful activities and maintain occupational roles.
  • Record and report intervention outcomes, maintaining accurate clinical notes.
  • Carry out administrative duties, including scheduling appointments and maintaining records.
  • Assist in managing and ordering equipment and materials.
  • Participate in service planning and improvements with Occupational Therapy staff.
  • Engage in ongoing education, training, and personal development.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety standards and report any incidents.
  • Promote and participate in sustainable practices within the health service.
