About the Role
As the Senior Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing and managing detailed cost estimates for our construction projects. Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed estimates: Develop comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering all aspects such as labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
Analyse project requirements: Evaluate project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand the scope of work and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to gather necessary information and ensure all costs are accounted for.
Risk management: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Market analysis: Stay updated on market trends, material prices, and industry standards to ensure competitive and realistic estimates.
Bid preparation: Prepare and submit detailed and competitive bid proposals to clients, ensuring all requirements are met.
Cost monitoring: Track project costs and compare them against initial estimates, providing regular updates and reports to senior management.

Candidate Profile
Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
Professional experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in construction estimating, with a proven track record of successfully estimating and managing costs for complex projects.
Industry knowledge: Strong understanding of construction methodologies and cost estimation techniques.
Technical skills: Proficient in estimation software and tools, with strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Communication skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present cost information clearly and effectively to diverse stakeholders.
