Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the team in crafting custom cabinets, furniture, and fittings from design to finish.
• Select and prepare different types of wood and materials, ensuring quality and suitability for each project.
• Use hand tools and machinery to measure, cut, and shape wood accurately according to design specifications.
• Help with the assembly of cabinets and furniture, ensuring joints are secure and pieces fit together perfectly.
• Use various finishing techniques, including sanding, staining, and varnishing, to achieve a high-quality finish on all projects.
• Interpret design plans and blueprints to understand the specifications and requirements for each project.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and safely stored.
• Assist in checking the quality of completed work, ensuring it meets the highest standards of craftsmanship.
• Assist with the installation of cabinets and furniture at client locations, ensuring proper fit and finish.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
• Engage in ongoing training and development to improve your skills and knowledge in cabinet making.

What We’re Looking For:

• A genuine interest in woodworking and cabinet making
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently
• Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations
• Physical stamina and the ability to handle manual labour
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous experience or education in woodworking/cabinet making is a strong advantage
