Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Full-Time Sign Designer to create innovative and impactful designs for a variety of signage projects. As a Sign Designer at Flagship Signs, you will play a key role in transforming client concepts into visually compelling signage solutions. In addition to your design responsibilities, you may also be required to support the team with preparing jobs for the fitting team, ensuring that all designs are production-ready and meet the highest standards for installation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Creation: Produce high-quality signage designs, including logos, vinyl graphics, vehicle wraps, and large-format prints.
• Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their branding requirements and produce design solutions that align with their vision.
• Job Preparation: Prepare designs for production, ensuring that all necessary files and specifications are provided to the fitting team. This includes creating artwork that can be easily translated into physical signage.
• Software Proficiency: Use design software (e.g. CorelDRAW) to create professional and detailed design mock-ups and files for production.
• Support Fitting Team: Assist in the preparation of materials and designs for the fitting team, ensuring smooth handovers and clear instructions for on-site installations.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all designs are accurate and meet the required quality standards for both aesthetics and functionality before production begins.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in sign design with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills in creating a variety of signage.
• Proficient in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and/or CorelDRAW.
• Attention to detail with the ability to ensure designs are print-ready and correctly formatted for production.
• Creative flair combined with a practical understanding of how designs translate into finished signage products.
• Ability to work to deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.
• Experience in preparing design files for production and collaborating with production or fitting teams is highly beneficial.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Qualifications & Experience:

• A background in graphic design or a related field.
• Sign design experience is highly preferred, but not essential. Candidates with experience in other forms of graphic design who are eager to learn the specifics of sign design are welcome to apply.
• A clean driving licence (optional, if occasional travel is required to client sites).
