Job Description

Kilbeggan Community Group CLG wishes to recruit a temporary Assistant CE Supervisor for its Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection (DEASP) funded Community Employment Scheme. The post is based in Kilbeggan.

The Assistant Supervisor will provide assistance to the Community Employment Supervisor in the efficient running of the CE Project. The duties will include preparing and implementing a training programme for participants; assisting in the preparation of financial returns i.e. wages, accounts, materials and Participant Development Grant Claims. Strong Information Technology and administration skills are essential. The selected candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, be highly motivated and have the ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. Previous experience in supporting unemployed individuals to secure employment is an advantage. The successful candidate must supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.

Skills requirements: Assistant supervisor must have previous office management/supervisory experience, excellent administrative skills, be able to work as part of a team, have knowledge of community activities and have good communication and inter-personal skills. Internet and Social Media Skills would be an advantage also. It is a requirement of the post that the successful candidate has his/her own transport.

Hours of work: 39 hours per week.

Essential

  • Minimum Qualification: Level 5 (incl Leaving Certificate/ Leaving Certificate Applied/ Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme)
  • Ability Skills: Administration, Communications, Computer Literacy, Interpersonal Skills
  • Competency Skills: Decision Making, Leadership, Problem Solving, Teamwork
  • Specialising In: previous experience in supporting unemployed individuals to secure employment is an advantage
