Job Description

We are a firm of Chartered Certified Accountants and Statutory Auditors based in Rosemount which is just outside Moate in County Westmeath.  We have been providing auditing, accountancy, taxation, payroll and company secretarial services to SME businesses for over 20 years.

We wish to add an experienced Bookkeeper to our team. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Data entry and review.
  • Book-keeping for clients, taking books from basic records to trial balance stage.
  • Preparing basic accounts from accounting records.
  • Vat analysis and statutory returns.
  • General office administration duties. 

Candidate

The successful candidate will have two years' bookkeeping experience. Previous work experience in an accountancy firm would be an advantage. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual who can work on their own initiative and will have: 

  • Experience of producing accounts to trial balance stage from basic records.
  • Knowledge of software packages such as The Big Red Book (an advantage but not essential).
