Job Description

The Cartell Vehicle Data Team works as part of an internal reference group for the automotive data that the company presents to customers.  The team reviews and corrects data inconsistencies on a regular basis and produces data & insights that are embraced by each team and drives strategic business decisions. We are looking for a vehicle/automotive data engineer to join us and work across the organisation to implement process efficiencies, data improvements & service development. This role is a full-time, paid opportunity. 

The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter who is comfortable with vehicle attributes and terminology and wants to know more about vehicle technology. This candidate is also highly collaborative and able to work competently across different teams and parts of the business. 

The candidate will learn about ADAS, Electric and Autonomous vehicles and how to map vehicles to components and value engines. If you like cars this could be the job for you.


  • Assist the Data Department with regular projects from start to finish
  • Build an in-depth understanding of the services offered by the Compay, how they work, how to improve them, and how to create more value for customers.
  • Effectively investigate and resolve any reported vehicle data issues and implementing dynamic corrections.
  • Build rapport and strong relationships with both trade and public customers. Ensuring customer satisfaction is swiftly achieved.
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of the automotive and technology sectors and apply this knowledge in data mapping.
  • Assist in the release and gathering of quarterly vehicle statistics for press releases.
  • Project manage ongoingstrategic initiatives to keep stakeholders and timelines in alignment.
  • Understand the effect of mapping vehicles to various data sets


  • Minimum Ordinary Bachelor’s degree (Level 7 NFQ) Required in any of; Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience working in a similar role
  • Demonstrated interest in the Automotive sector & Technology
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, experience working directly with customers and teams vital
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a must
  • A sharp eye for detail and improvement
