Maintenance Fitter - Co. Laois

Our client,  a major manufacturer and recycler of timber packaging and pallets are looking to hire a Maintenance Fitter for their plant in Co. Laois

Duties will include, but not limited to:  

• Conduct maintenance activities in support of day-to-day production alongside our production 
   managers and their teams.  
• Ensure equipment breakdowns are dealt with in a timely fashion in line with business needs, and 
  document corrective measures as required 
• Support ongoing Preventative Maintenance Programmes 
• Work alongside our contractors and electricians to ensure new equipment at the site meets 
   maintainability and operability requirements 
• Routine calibration, inspection, testing, maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment onsite 
• Assisting Engineering Manager with maintaining all maintenance records and routine inspections in 
  compliance with our licenses and accreditations 
• Assist and promote all continuous improvement programs with a strong commitment to quality and 
  compliance 
• Provide support to emergency situations outside of regular workings hours, as required

Skills and Experience: 
• Minimum 5 years’ previous experience in a similar position within the manufacturing industry  
• Qualification in mechanical automation and maintenance fitting and or in metal fabrication desirable  
• Must have experience in electrical fault finding 
• Strong knowledge of welding, fabrication and fitting techniques 
• Robotic programming experience advantageous
