Construction Project Manager

My client is a well established and respected top tier Main Contractor with a long held reputation as top employer.

Due to a recent project win, they are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager for an industrial project in Kildare.

Ideally you will hold a degree qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management with at least 10+yrs experience, at least 3yrs of which in a PM capacity.

• Personnel management - Engineers, Foremen, Site Management and labour.

• Agreeing project objectives in the areas of timely delivery, cost, quality and EHS performance.

• Responsible for the successful delivery of project through leadership, management, technical and engineering expertise throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Reporting to senior management on project progress, providing advice on the management of projects
• Chairing weekly progress meetings.
• Regular and sustained information flow and contact with commercial team/ quantity surveyor on claims, variations and project cost control.
• Subcontractor performance review.
• Monitoring sub-contractors workflow ensuring guidelines are maintained
• Monitor construction to ensure quality of workmanship and materials
• Carrying out risk assessments
• Work to resolve critical site issues
• Co-ordinate project activities in accordance with company Quality System, Standard Quality Procedures and Engineering Specifications
• Ensure smooth information flow from Design and pre construction team.
• Coordinating and liaising with procurement department on long lead and critical items in line with the construction program.
• Overall responsibility for project performance
