On behalf of our client in the Construction sector, we are looking for a Setting Out Engineer to join their team.
Role and responsibilities:
- Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
- Monitoring and Interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client/ architect
- Liaising with consultants/ subcontractors/ supervisors/ planners/ quantity surveyors etc
- Liaising with clients and their representatives, including attending regular meetings to keep them informed
- Planning work and efficiently organizing site facilities in order to meet agreed timelines
- Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
- Setting out, levelling and surveying the site
- Overseeing Quality Control and the implementation of the company H&S policy on site
- Preparing reports as required
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Relevant Degree
- Strong written communication abilities and an attention to detail
- Confident and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office; Project and PowerPoint
- Have the ability to work on own initiative
