Setting Out Engineer

On behalf of our client in the Construction sector, we are looking for a Setting Out Engineer to join their team.

Role and responsibilities:

• Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations
• Monitoring and Interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client/ architect
• Liaising with consultants/ subcontractors/ supervisors/ planners/ quantity surveyors etc
• Liaising with clients and their representatives, including attending regular meetings to keep them informed
• Planning work and efficiently organizing site facilities in order to meet agreed timelines
• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
• Setting out, levelling and surveying the site
• Overseeing Quality Control and the implementation of the company H&S policy on site
• Preparing reports as required

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience
• Relevant Degree
• Strong written communication abilities and an attention to detail
• Confident and experienced in the use of Microsoft Office; Project and PowerPoint
• Have the ability to work on own initiative
