Tax Advisor

My client is seeking an experienced tax advisor to join their growing accountancy practice. The successful candidate will work together with our tax manager and assist in the management of all aspects of tax compliance and advisory services for a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs and sole traders. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge, client relationship skills, and the ability to work independently and a s part of a team. 
Key Responsibilities

• Tax Compliance
  • Prepare corporation tax and income tax returns
  • Prepare and file tax returns across all tax heads: Income Tax, Corporation Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Capital Acquisitions Tax.
  • Review work prepared by the accounts department 
  • Ensure timely filing and compliance with Irish Revenue requirements
• Tax Advisory
  • Provide advice on tax planning, restructuring, and succession planning
  • Research and resolve complex tax queries and communicate findings clearly
• Revenue Interaction
  • Manage Revenue audits and correspondence 
• Client Management
  • Act as the main point of contact for tax queries
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Irish tax legislation and Revenue procedures
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and client-focused approach
• Qualifications & Experience
  • Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) qualification from the Irish Tax Institute (or working towards it)
  • Additional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage
  • Minimum 2-years’ experience in practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of Irish tax legislation
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
