The Role

We’re looking for a mid-level Automotive Product Manager to join our product team in Tullamore. This position directly supports emergency services who rely on ACETECH technology to operate efficient, patient-focused services.

 

You’ll help shape and deliver ACETECH’s next generation of automotive and telematics products spanning hardware, firmware, and cloud software. Working closely with engineering, operations, customer service, and commercial teams, you’ll transform ideas and requirements into tangible products that improve fleet performance and save lives.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the product backlog for one or more ACETECH product lines
  • Translate business and customer requirements into clear, testable user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Prioritise work based on business value, risk, and technical feasibility
  • Maintain close alignment between engineering output and strategic product goals
  • Contribute to roadmap planning and cross-team delivery across hardware, firmware, and cloud
  • Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Support to refine product direction
  • Support definition of new hardware modules and connected software functions
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives)
  • Ensure products meet relevant standards, including ISO 9001, ISO 27001, and EN 18031
  • Analyse product performance and customer feedback to guide ongoing enhancement

 

Skills & Experience

  • 3–6 years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in automotive, telematics, or IoT
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams (hardware, firmware, cloud software)
  • Deep understanding of Agile principles and common tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Strong communication and coordination skills; able to balance detail with big-picture focus
  • Familiarity with vehicle electronics, CAN/LIN interfaces, or data systems advantageous
  • Comfortable prioritising and managing delivery across multiple workstreams
  • Awareness of compliance, certification, or cybersecurity frameworks (ISO 9001/27001) preferred



Education

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Product Design, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
