Title: Field Survey Technician
Role Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is looking to develop new skills, to join our team of Survey Technicians as our business continues to grow. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate. This is a full time position, based in Mullingar, reporting to the Operations Manager with regular travel installing, maintaining, and removing temporary survey data equipment across the country. The successful candidate will join our Fieldwork Operations team and will be supplied with a works van plus all the tools/equipment needed to fulfil your role. Please be aware that this role involves a high number of hours driving to the various sites in a shift, and may sometimes include an overnight hotel stay.

Key Responsibilities:
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:
Installation of Equipment:
Set up, install and collect various traffic survey equipment, particularly cameras, at designated survey locations.
Ensure all equipment is securely mounted and positioned to capture accurate data.
Coordinate with local authorities or businesses as necessary to ensure safe and efficient installations.
Maintenance and Repairs:
Regularly inspect, maintain, and clean equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose and repair any malfunctions, replacing parts as necessary.
Update and upgrade equipment firmware or software as needed.
Data Collection and Transmission:
Retrieve data from equipment and transmit it to the central server or designated data collection points.
Troubleshoot any issues related to data transmission or storage.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain records of equipment installations, maintenance, and repairs.
Complete necessary documentation for traffic surveys, including location, equipment type, and configuration.
Report any issues or concerns to the line manager.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while installing or maintaining equipment.
Stay updated with local, regional, and national regulations concerning traffic surveys and equipment installations.
Essential Requirements
Full valid licence
Proficiency in basic computer software and tools.
Good communication and organisation skills, recognising the need for attention to detail.
Ability to follow company procedures, recognise health and safety concerns, accept instructions, and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to work independently and solve problems on the go.
Ability to lift and carry equipment.
Comfortable working at heights on ladders
Enjoy working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Desirable Requirements
Familiarity with traffic survey equipment, especially camera systems would be beneficial
