Job Description

The Challenge

We require a Dev/Tech Ops engineer to come on board with our growing infrastructure service for clients. The role covers the full spectrum of IT infrastructure from physical devices such as Cisco ASA, to fully virtualised environments such as AWS and GCloud.

This is a comprehensive role that provides good all round opportunities in several areas: 

  • Infrastructure
  • Customer support
  • Development support

Contract Type

  • 12-month fixed term contract role (starting immediately - with possibility of extension)
  • 9 - 5.30 Monday to Friday (with participation on the customer support rota out of hours)
  • Salary negotiable depending on skills and experience
  • Based in Tullamore but with possibility of remote working

The position of Dev/Tech Ops Engineer will be responsible for ensuring;

  • Installation, configuration and on-going management of systems, client devices and
    networks
  • Working with the product teams to recommend and evaluate latest technologies - experience of CI/CD would be advantageous
  • Perform system monitoring, verifying the availability and integrity of all servers, systems and key processes
  • Setup of Disaster Recovery Procedures
  • Information Security, Data Protection and the security, integrity and availability of systems, services and data.
  • Updates, patching, vulnerability management & security of environments
  • Monitor servers, storage, applications, services, key processes and back-up systems
  • Build High Availability Server Environments
  • Administration of AD, DNS, Office 365, Web servers, Windows and Linux.
  • Provisioning, configuration and administration of cloud platforms.
