Primarily focused on providing “Engineering Solutions” Serchek has established a reputation for thinking beyond the typical throw-away and replace option which has become the default setting for many of our competitors.
Based in Mullingar we support customers across the entire country as well as some overseas work. Our services are installation, repairs and maintenance of industrial doors with a reputation as a niche provider. We are known for our strong partnerships with our customers and have a reputation for providing excellent advise, service and products.

About the role
We are currently seeking to hire Field Maintenance Technicians. We are seeking candidates from a variety of backgrounds, such as factory maintenance, HVAC or Automation and will already have an established career in maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical, Electrical and automation trouble shooting.
- Responding to breakdown calls in the Midlands, Dublin and some calls nationwide.
- Installation of industrial doors and gates
- Researching solutions
- Liaising with customers
- Recording and reporting repairs using our in house mobile phone app
- Be a champion for the customer within the organization.
Requirements
- We are seeking candidates from a variety of backgrounds, such as factory maintenance, HVAC or Automation and will already have an established career in maintenance. A good understanding of IT applications and the ability to read and interpret drawings would be a distinct advantage.
- Have excellent communications (written and verbal) and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Can demonstrate a logical approach to problem solving.
- Have a desire for learning new technologies and a passion for new technology.
- Be client focused.
- Fluent & written English
- A good basic knowledge of electrical fault finding.
- Full clean driver’s license
- Proven track record in a similar field ideally four years plus experience

Serchek carries out installations, servicing and break-down repairs on Industrial and commercial equipment such as Sectional overhead doors, Dock levelers, retractable dock shelters, Automatic sliding doors, Automatic gates and Traffic Barriers.
We also provide highly rated independent consultancy and advice to our customers who greatly value our no nonsense cost effective approach.
In recent years the company has been working to a program of modernisation and process management improvement such as lean. Arising from this, there are now vastly improved employment prospects and opportunities as we build out our engineering team. We also plan to implement quality standards such as ISO. 18001 in the medium term.
