O'Brien Fine Foods is a family run business established in 2000 which specialises in the manufacture of premium cooked meats. Employing over 500 people, we are the leading cooked meats producer on the island of Ireland, supplying both branded (Brady Family, Green Farm and Homebird) and private label ranges from 2 manufacturing sites in Kildare and Westmeath.

  • WE PRODUCE a range of high-quality cooked meats including ham, chicken, turkey and beef. Through our three processing facilities, we develop innovative great tasting food products to the highest of food safety standards whilst prioritising traceability.

Overview of Role: The Health and Safety officer is responsible for supporting the operations teams with implementing the safety policy and standards for the business with the end goal in keeping our employees safe and reducing accidents. Monitoring standards on our sites to establish and embed a culture of Health and Safety across the business. Demonstrate visionary leadership and strong governance, while continuously looking for opportunities to reduce accidents. The Health and Safety officer will be responsible for communicating our plans, reporting performance, and continuously increasing awareness of safety on our Green Farm site.
