Gigginstown House Angus
Since the herd was established in 1997, Gigginstown House is committed to investing in top-tier genetics. Initially incorporating Canadian show champions from Edmonton and Regina, we have expanded our genetic pool with the finest specimens from Ireland and Britain. The Gigginstown herd has achieved acclaim at both the Spring Show and National Shows.
Our focus on quality is evident in our selection of top heifers from Canada, Ireland, and Scotland, chosen for their conformation, functionality, and maternal traits. These heifers include offspring from Angus legends like Krugerrand, Stockman 365, TC Stockman, Extra Gold, Green’s Premium, and Black Magic, complemented by champion Irish and UK Heifers.
As of 2022, our herd comprises over 450 cows and breeding heifers, contributing to the next generation of champions. Emphasizing quality breeding, we've acquired outstanding head sires, importing champion bulls directly from Canada and bringing Perth champions from Scotland. These sires, alongside others in our herd, consistently produce high-quality males and females for elite pedigree and commercial herds in Ireland and the UK.
Our bulls, aged between 16 to 24 months, are well-developed, easy calving, and provide out-cross genetics to enhance both pedigree and commercial breeding programs.
Our commitment to quality is underscored by our herd's negative testing for BVD, vaccination against Black leg, BVD, IBR, and Lepto, and dams testing free of Johne’s disease. All animals are sold with a breeding guarantee, and bulls undergo fertility testing before sale. Managed by Joe O’Mahony and his team, the Gigginstown Angus sale welcomes you to our auctions, and we express gratitude for your support.
