Kilbeggan Community Group

Kilbeggan Community Group CLG, established in 1995, initially supported sponsor groups in Kilbeggan town, later extending to include groups in Horseleap, Rosemount, Streamstown, and Tyrrellspass. In 2013, Rahugh Hall Development joined, and the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection merged the BCDL C.E. scheme with Kilbeggan Community Group CLG, encompassing groups from Ballinagore, Ballymore, Castletown-Geoghegan, Dysart, and Loughnavalley.

As one of over one thousand Community Employment Schemes nationwide, Kilbeggan Community Group CLG aids participants across several communities in gaining practical experience, qualifications, and support to enhance their careers. The program, funded by the Department of Social Protection, offers part-time placements within local communities, providing training opportunities up to QQI level 6 tailored to individual career goals. Upon completion, participants are encouraged to seek employment elsewhere based on gained experience, skills, and qualifications.
