I’d like to congratulate everyone who have contributed to the company’s success. The 40 jobs being announced today, and the official opening of your R&D building is great news for Mullingar.

“For our economic success to continue we need to enable the growth of firms like TEG. 65% of TEG’s sales are generated from products that did not exist 2 years ago. The current revolution in automation and digitalisation means that today’s school children will be employed in jobs and industries that are yet to be developed. To make sure we are ready for these opportunities and challenges, the Government is developing our Future Jobs strategy, which will help us to enhance productivity; drive innovation; create the skills and talent for the future; and help us move to a low carbon economy.”

John Hunt, Managing Director and co-owner, TEG said: “This R&D Facility is another stepping stone in the development of the capabilities within TEG. We always prided ourselves on having the best capabilities in our industry. Customers treat TEG as an extension of their engineering department for the duration of a project. We want to bring the best thinking, techniques and products into the company for the benefit of our customers.  We can only do that by having the widest range of engineering capabilities available.”

Tommy Kelly, Founder, Co-owner and Business Development Director, TEG added: “This R&D Facility is a significant milestone for TEG, creating a structure for the development of new products. John Shiel, Senior Development Adviser, Enterprise Ireland, commented: “TEG is an excellent example of how an Irish company can compete successfully in the highly-regulated, global, biopharmaceutical and aviation sectors. Its focus on innovation and the attainment of internationally-recognised industry accreditations, together with its dedication to nurturing in-house manufacturing skills, positions it well for continued success. Enterprise Ireland looks forward to continued engagement with TEG to support its global ambition.”

TEG holds DOA, POA and Part 145 approvals from the European Aviation Safety Agency and the Irish Aviation Authority. This authorises the company to design, manufacture and repair parts for passenger carrying aircraft. The TEG team has established a well-earned reputation for the fast delivery of EASA Form 1 approved aircraft parts to the aviation industry.

The company is also recognised as the global leader in the supply of dedicated parts washer racks to the biopharmaceutical industry. These racks ensure the consistent cleaning of parts used in the manufacture of complex drugs.

In 2003 TEG commenced business, designing and manufacturing tooling for packaging tablets into blister packs for the pharmaceutical industry. The NG Feeder has proven highly popular with customers because it achieves high productivity rates for new product introductions.
