Midlands Science is an innovative development company, funded by a mixture of public, philanthropic and private sources. Its work in the promotion of STEM is widely acknowledged and it has received a Youth Education award from Rethink Ireland, awards from the Naughton Foundation and the Medtronic Foundation.
It works to a model of international best practice, having adopted a Science Capital approach to its work. Midlands Science is a development company which focuses on the promotion of STEM education and skills in the Midlands. Its current work programme includes primary and secondary school outreach, Engineers Week, Maths Week, Tech Week, the Midlands Science Festival, online activities, Quiet Science, Science Capital training and partnership in a number of projects in the region, where it can add value.
