Job Description

As a Full-Stack Engineer at Watt Footprint, you will help develop and scale our energy monitoring product across both web and mobile applications. Our platform is already in use by customers and plays a central role in helping organisations understand, manage, and reduce their energy consumption.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys working across the stack, taking ownership of features and systems, and contributing to the evolution of a growing product. You will have a strong level of autonomy as a subject-matter expert, with the trust to make sound technical decisions, while working closely with product, operations, and commercial teams to ensure what we build aligns with the wider business vision.

Collaboration is key to success in this role. We are looking for someone who understands the bigger picture, communicates clearly, and can balance technical excellence with practical, real-world delivery.

There is clear potential for growth within the role. As the platform and engineering function continue to scale, a strong performer will have the opportunity to grow into a more senior position within the company, with increased responsibility and influence over technical direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Own our web-development stack, from the development of new features, all the way to implementation and maintenance.
  • Take the lead in making critical decisions about system architecture as we grow our user base.
  • Manage and develop our existing AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our application and user data.
  •

Requirements:

  • BSc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must have start up / scale up experience
  • 3+ years of experience in full-stack web development with a proven track record in delivering projects, from initial concept to deployment
  • Proficient in front-end frameworks  React and back-end languages such as Node.js.
  • Proficient in managing cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • Expertise in managing complex projects in a dynamic company while collaborating with various disciplines and teams.
  • Ability to lead the project from design to implementation.
  • Can develop on top of RESTful APIs.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible working hours
  • Laptop and remote working set up
  • Professional development opportunities
  • Monthly team workshops and social events
  • 23 days annual leave + bank holidays + your birthday off
  • Employer-funded Health Plan
