Role Overview:
Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy warehouse and steel yard environment, ensuring accurate order fulfilment, efficient stock management, and adherence to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
• Accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch
• Conducting regular stock counts and inventory checks
• Verifying orders against invoices and reporting discrepancies (e.g. shortages, duplicates)
• Receiving and checking incoming deliveries, highlighting any issues
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Storing goods in designated warehouse locations
• Reviewing courier documentation to ensure accuracy of shipments
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
• Liaising with colleagues, customers, and transport providers in a professional manner
• Reporting operational issues or concerns to supervisors
• Carrying out additional duties as required by management

Key Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Forklift licence (desirable)
• Full driving licence (essential)
• Flexibility to work overtime when required
