Crane Operator (Mantis Crane)

Location: Dublin 7
Contract: Minimum 24 Weeks (Potential Extension)
Rate: Up to €35 per hour

We are currently seeking an experienced Crane Operator for a busy construction project in Dublin 7.

This role involves operating a Mantis crane on a 19-unit apartment development, supporting site operations by safely lifting and moving construction materials throughout the project. The successful candidate will work closely with site management and lifting teams to ensure all lifting operations are carried out safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Mantis crane safely and efficiently on site.
• Carry out lifting operations in accordance with site procedures and lift plans.
• Move and position construction materials as required to support site activities.
• Work closely with slingers, signallers, and site management.
• Complete daily machine checks and report any defects or issues.
• Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and site compliance.
• Ensure all lifting activities are completed accurately and safely.

Requirements

• Previous crane operating experience on construction sites.
• Relevant crane operator certification/ticket.
• Strong understanding of safe lifting operations and site safety procedures.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a site team.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and professional approach to work.
• Experience operating a Mantis crane is advantageous but not essential for candidates with relevant crane operating experience.
