Lotus Care provides a range of respite, residential and support services to Children & Adults with intellectual disabilities in a homely and comfortable community setting. We aim to empower people with the necessary skills to live full and satisfying lives as equal citizens of their local communities.

Due to growth of the company we are now seeking Social Care Workers to join our team in Tullamore.

This role is also suitable for Social Care Assistants.

Role Overview

Location: Tullamore, Co. Offaly

Contract Type: Full-Time - 42 Hours / Weekly Average (12 hour shifts, days and nights)

Salary: €35,000 – €50,000 DOE

The Role

• Support with daily living skills and personal development
• Promote independence and decision-making
• Deliver person-centred care plans
• Administer and record prescribed medication
• Take on Key Worker responsibilities, helping service owners reach goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and reports
• Work closely with the MDT to support service owners’ goals
• Document and report incidents and complaints involving staff, service owners or visitors.
• Day and waking night shifts required.

What You Need

• Minimum Level 5 qualification in Social / Health Care Studies or relevant discipline 
• CORU Registered (SCW)
• Full Irish driving licence (to drive company vehicle as required)
• Flexibility for both Day/Night Shifts
• Experience in social care or healthcare desirable 
• Good knowledge of relevant standards and regulations
• Excellent written and spoken English
• Garda Vetting/Police Clearance
