HGV Driver

About the Role

Our client is a leading Irish manufacturer and supplier of concrete and construction products. They are looking for an experienced HGV Driver to join their transport team based in Tullamore.

The role involves delivering concrete pipes, concrete roof tiles and plastic pipes to customers and construction sites throughout Ireland. You'll be responsible for ensuring deliveries are completed safely, on time and in line with road transport and health and safety regulations.

Main Duties

• Deliver products safely and on time to customers across Ireland.
• Load, secure and unload products correctly.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Follow Driver CPC, tachograph and drivers' hours regulations.
• Comply with company health and safety procedures and site rules.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good working order.
• Provide a professional and courteous service to customers.

Requirements

• Full HGV licence (Category C or CE).
• Valid Driver CPC.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience.
• Good driving record and commitment to safe driving.
• Good knowledge of Irish roads and road transport regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work on your own.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

Desirable

• Experience delivering construction materials.
• Forklift or HIAB experience is an advantage but not essential.
