Accounts and Payroll Assistant (Fixed Term Contract)

Contract: 3-month Fixed-Term Contract 

We're currently recruiting for a Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team of a well-established organisation based in Kildare.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on payroll experience who is looking for a short-term contract, with the potential for the assignment to extend depending on business requirements.

You'll support the Finance team with payroll processing for the company's hospitality division, while also assisting with payroll administration and general finance duties.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Processing weekly and monthly payroll
  • Maintaining employee payroll records
  • Handling payroll queries
  • Assisting with payroll reconciliations
  • Updating employee information, including starters, leavers, and contract changes
  • Supporting payroll reporting and general finance administration
  • Liaising with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy
  • Assisting with month-end payroll activities

Required:

  • Previous payroll experience in a finance, payroll, or accounts environment
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical accuracy
  • Experience using payroll software (Sage Payroll or similar is desirable)
  • Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
