Finance Assistant (Treasury and Expenses)

Location: Mullingar, Co. Westmeath

Our client is a leading global manufacturing company with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and operational excellence. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a Finance Assistant (Treasury and Expenses) to join their team in Mullingar.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in accounting or finance who enjoys a varied role supporting treasury, payments, and employee expenses. Hybrid working (1x day WFH) and flexible working hours can be accommodated. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process electronic payments and employee expense claims.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and support daily cash management.
  • Assist with cash flow forecasting and treasury administration.
  • Process travel-related expenses and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Prepare journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Support month-end reporting and audit requirements.
  • Liaise with employees, banks, Payroll, HR, and internal stakeholders.
  • Help improve financial controls and processes.

Required:

  • Experience in an accounts, finance, or treasury support role.
  • Strong understanding of bank reconciliations, payments, and general ledger accounting.
  • Good Excel and financial systems skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with ERP or payroll systems and/or studying towards a finance qualification is an advantage.
