Social Worker

AllPro Recruitment are seeking CORU registered, professionally qualified Social Workers to work as Team Leaders within the Adult Safeguarding Team across the HSE Midlands area.

We are interested in hearing from appropriately qualified Social Workers with relevant experience, including PQSWs with strong experience in Social Work and/or Adult Safeguarding who have the skills and experience required to undertake a Team Leader role.

These positions are available immediately and are full-time temporary positions for an initial three-month period.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional leadership and direction within the Adult Safeguarding Team.
• Manage and coordinate safeguarding referrals, assessments and interventions.
• Support the management of complex safeguarding cases and risk.
• Provide professional guidance and support to Social Work colleagues.
• Ensure safeguarding plans and interventions are appropriately developed, implemented and reviewed.
• Promote a person-centred approach that respects the rights, dignity, wishes and preferences of adults at risk.
• Liaise with service users, families, carers and relevant professionals.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and statutory, community and voluntary agencies.
• Participate in case discussions, multidisciplinary meetings and reviews.
• Maintain accurate and timely professional records and documentation.
• Provide professional advice and guidance in relation to adult safeguarding matters.
• Contribute to quality improvement and the ongoing development of the Adult Safeguarding service.
• Participate in supervision, training and continuing professional development.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant HSE policies, procedures, legislation and professional standards.

Requirements

• Recognised professional qualification in Social Work.
• Current CORU registration as a Social Worker.
• Relevant post-qualification Social Work experience.
• Experience relevant to working with adults at risk and/or in safeguarding is highly desirable.
• Experience managing complex cases and responding appropriately to risk.
• Demonstrable skills and experience appropriate to undertaking a Team Leader role.
• Strong knowledge of professional Social Work practice and safeguarding principles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and report-writing skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, email and relevant information systems.
• Commitment to person-centred practice, confidentiality, professional standards and continuing professional development.
• Full clean driving licence and access to transport, where required by the service.

Location: HSE Midlands – Longford, Westmeath, Laois & Offaly
Duration: 3 months initially, with a view to extension
