Job Description

We are recruiting a Senior Mechanical Project Manager for a key client on a project in Athlone. The successful candidate will also be required to travel to sites in Europe on occasion (max 2 days every 3-4 weeks) 
Reporting to the Project Director, you will be accountable for the effective management and delivery of projects from initial client contact through to handover. Ensuring project objectives are achieved while maintaining high standards of service, maximising profitability, and fostering strong client relationships.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Effective day to day running of site activities.
  • Managing a team of site personnel, providing leadership and guidance.
  • Building and fostering strong rapport with the client gaining trust through effective project delivery.
  • Effective communication with cost control and quantity surveying team to ensure maximum profitability 
  • Ensuring company EHS and Quality standards are upheld throughout the project life cycle.
- Delivery of the project within the given time & cost constraints 
- Chairing Monthly team meetings to discuss project progress against milestones.
- Ensure compliance with programme, materials deliveries, engineering, quality and safety.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Hold weekly progress meetings with sub-contractors covering health, safety and training.
- Ensure effective cost and sales control in conjunction with Q.S & Lead Engineers.
The ideal client will have a Mechanical Engineering background and proven experience in delivering Pharma construction projects. A market leading salary and package is available for the successful candidate.
