We are working with a midlands based landscaping and construction firm to recruit an experienced working foreman.  Ideally you will have a strong background and hands on experience in construction, particularly external works, groundworks, carpentry and general builders work.  You will lead a crew of up to 10 staff on a variety of small projects. All work is in the midlands, Longford/Westmeath region. This is a working foreman/ hands on role where you will be required to lead teams as well as carry out work when required. Relevant tickets in small plant & machinery would be required. You will plan site works, assign duties, liaise with sub contractors, suppliers and ensure all plant and materials are procured on time to site. This is a long term role with a well established employer in the region. Company van and competitive salary on offer for the right person.

Role and responsibilities include but not limited to: Report to project management team and provide weekly/monthly updates on programme and subcontractors progress. Manage site staff and all contractors coming on to your project and currently on your Project. Constant interaction and guidance to construction operatives on site. As the Site Manager you will work closely and report to your Project Manager, Contracts Manager/Director to ensure business objectives and project strategies are met and exceeded. Review designs and make recommendations on buildability and cost saving for the client while maintaining quality and improving margin.
