The Health & Safety Officer is responsible for promoting, implementing, and monitoring a culture of workplace health and safety across all departments of the hospital.  The postholder will work to minimise risks to staff and other interested parties, ensure compliance with Irish occupational health and safety legislation, and support the delivery of a safe and healthy working environment. The purpose of this post is to support and enhance the hospital’s systems for Quality Improvement, Patient Safety, and Clinical Risk Management, in line with HSE, CHKS & HIQA National Standards for Safer Better Healthcare. The post holder will play a key role in promoting a culture of quality and safety, coordinating quality improvement initiatives, supporting risk identification and mitigation, and ensuring compliance with relevant governance, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
